In Florence, where craftsmanship meets innovation, a new generation of designers is redefining the future of luxury. Through the Louis Vuitton Accessories Design Graduates Initiative (LVADGI), Istituto Marangoni Firenze reinforces its role as a key player in fashion education, bridging tradition with contemporary creativity.
Pioneering the Next Generation of Luxury Accessories Design
Now in its second edition, this initiative aims to discover and mentor the next wave of luxury accessories designers, in line with Louis Vuitton’s commitment to nurturing talent. Selected students from the Master in Luxury Accessories Design & Management and third-year Fashion Design programs had the chance to present their creative visions, showcasing projects that embody sustainability, craftsmanship, and innovation—the pillars of modern luxury design.
A Unique Learning Experience in Luxury Fashion
As the only Istituto Marangoni campus offering specialized accessories design programs, the Florence school is at the forefront of this dynamic industry. The collaboration with Louis Vuitton provided students with a unique opportunity to receive direct feedback from the brand’s leather goods and accessories team, refining their designs to meet the standards of one of the world’s most iconic luxury fashion houses.

Baron Osuna, LVADGI & Special Projects Manager at Louis Vuitton, personally engaged with students, sharing industry insights and guiding them through the rigorous selection process. While no Istituto Marangoni Firenze student won the competition, finalist Mayur Sonawane secured a position as a Men’s Shoes Design Assistant at Louis Vuitton Paris, proving that talent and perseverance open doors in luxury fashion.
A Lasting Impact on Future Luxury Designers
The Louis Vuitton collaboration highlights Istituto Marangoni Firenze’s commitment to providing students with exclusive industry experiences, enhancing their visibility in the global fashion and luxury sectors. By fostering innovation, craftsmanship, and real-world collaborations, the school continues to shape the careers of tomorrow’s leaders in luxury accessories design.
