As a Fashion Business master’s student, staying on top of the fast-moving industry is crucial. While legacy names like Vogue, Business of Fashion, and WWD remain authoritative, fashion—and fashion media—has been democratized, largely thanks to social platforms.

Sugarlesscoat: Fresh Runway Analysis from Milan

Although she has only 12.9k followers, Maite Aramayo is one of my favorite sources for runway insight. Based in Milan with 8 years of industry experience, she works as a writer, editorial consultant, and digital strategist behind the account. During fashion week, I followed her breakdowns after every show and always discovered a new perspective.

Stylenot.com: Text-Only Fashion Commentary with a Twist

At first glance, his personal style might seem understated, but Stylenot.com has over 525k followers. The account shares only text-based posts on a signature blue background. Run by Georgian fashion commentator Beka Gvishian, it offers runway analysis and fashion news in a distinctive writing style—a refreshing take in today’s visually saturated fashion world.

Boringnot.com: The Satirical Gossip Girl of Fashion

Boringnot.com features a green-themed feed and delivers sharp, satirical commentary on fashion news. The account “is less concerned with copy-cat designs and cancellations, and more about offering genuine, biting commentary without fear of blacklisting.” And yes, as far as we know, the identity behind it remains a mystery—making it the real Gossip Girl of fashion critique.

Databutmakeitfashion: Fashion Meets Data

Fashion reflects society—and data does too. Despite the cliché that fashion people dislike numbers, this account analyzes the fashion industry and cultural trends through data, often using Google Trends as a base. Another similar account worth following is Style Analytics.

Ideservecouture: From Outsider to Fashion Insider

Hanan Besovic, who grew up in Croatia and studied management, started this account during Covid and now has more than 500k followers. Beginning as an outsider, he’s now attending major fashion events and gaining insider access. Known for his humor (profile reads: “Master degree in throwing shade 💁🏽‍♂️, Minor degree in fashion”), he offers a unique take on the fashion world. Another similar account: Haute Le Mode.

Selloutartist: Sharp, Funny, and Relatable Fashion Commentary

Last but definitely not least, Selloutartist uses humor and wit to discuss fashion trends, from underrated vintage brands to “cool girl” labels and celebrity bags. The account makes fashion commentary feel fun, smart, and highly relevant.
