Fashion Styling & Creative Direction

Gherardo Ulivi graduated from the Undergraduate course in Fashion Styling & Creative Direction at Istituto Marangoni Firenze in 2021.
Gherardo Ulivi was born in Florence, where he currently lives and works. While studying Fashion Styling and Creative Direction at Istituto Marangoni Firenze, Ulivi got also in touch with the art world, completing a masterclass of History of Art at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, and developed his professional skills through an intensive course of photography and a seminar of creative writing. His work investigates the human being, from a physical and mental point of view, these concepts often intermingle ideas ranging from anatomy to psychology, drawing on a various cultural background: ancient Greek art, subcultures, anti-fashion, and peculiar historical objects. Contrasts are the base of his language, translated in shapes and colors, in order to achieve an idea of unlimited freedom with a touch of irony. He expresses himself mainly through photography, video and writing.
